Loosening: a fixed structure is broken up

BRECON external vibrators also offer valuable assistance for loosening bulk materials. Caked material structures can be borken up again by targeted vibration.

Before further processing bulk material are stored in containers, silo or bunkers. Such containers usually have a funnel-shaped exit. There is a risk of bridge formation here if the bulk mateiral supports itself or becomes wedged in such a way that it can no longer flow by itself.

In order to prevent this, external vibrators with 3000 or 1500 vibrations per minute are installed at the critical spots on the outside of the container. The vibrations reduce the friction between the individual material particles. The bulk material bridge then collapses as a result of the loosening effect produced by elimination of the adhesive forces.
